Surya Lambhani-Banjara Women Welfare Trust, was formed on 25th of August 2005 with its registered office at Kaddirampura Tanda, Hospet Taluk, Bellary District in the state of Karnataka in southern India.
Aims and Objects of the Trust:
1. To establish, run, maintain or aid, Health Care Centres, Embroidery Handicrafts training centres of women, vocational formal and non formal education, all types of schools, colleges, pharmacy colleges, medical colleges, engineering colleges, deemed university, hospital, industrial or technical institutions, training institution in various faculties, reading room, libraries, hostels and institutions, training institution in various backward classes and tribes, research on social science, scientific technical music, sports, drama and fine arts and other institutions or like nature at any place for all round development of education and diffusion.
2. Political knowledge amongst the public in general, and to impart education of all types, useful knowledge to the schedule caste and tribes. And also backward classes.
3. To give scholarships or other financial support to students belonging to backward classes and scheduled castes and tribes for all kind of research work and to establish academic prizes, awards, honor and fellowships irrespective of caste, creed or religion.
4. To provide the needy destitute, orphans, widows, physically handicapped person/s, mentally retarded, the poor and the aged irrespective of caste, creed or religion.
5. To arrange and celebrate mass marriage, inter caste marriages free of cost and to feed the poor.
6. To provide medical relief and aid to the poor at large; freely and alleviation of human disease, pain and sufferings.
7. To provide aid or other help for relief from calamities including floods, cyclones, earth quakes, famine, fire riots and war victims.
8. To encourage donation of Blood, Eye, Kidney, Heart and such other human organs to the needy persons by donors.
9. To publish, print, sell, distribute or to aid in publishing, printing, selling and distribution of books, essays, articles, leaflets, periodicals, news magazines, and all kinds of literatures and to do propaganda through all available media (including radio, television, internet and websites etc.) for the promotion of or in connection with the above objects of the trust.
10. To promote the cause of social reforms such as women education, shun castes; promote equality among all irrespective of caste, color, creed or sex.
11. To organize schedule castes and tribes conferences, seminars and literature conference at any place in the country.
12. To maintain, run aid or support social service organizations and to render social service and to engage in women welfare and also charitable works of all kinds mentioned above.
13. To receive and utilize such other grants and assistance for furtherance or the objects of the trust not specifically mentioned above as the trustees may determine from time to time without the infringement of provisions of Income Tax Act, 1961.
